1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering, logging in, or otherwise using StudyEase (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

StudyEase is a language-learning platform that helps users understand vocabulary in context. The Service allows you to:

• upload your own text or choose a ready-made text by difficulty level (A1–C2);
• click on any word to receive an AI-generated contextual translation, transcription, and grammatical role;
• save words for further vocabulary learning and review;
• use the platform in multiple interface languages, including English, Ukrainian, German, Czech, and Lithuanian.

The Service is currently provided free of charge. Users may voluntarily support the project through the Ko-fi donation page linked on the website; donations are optional and do not grant additional rights or features.

3. Registration and Account Security

To use certain features, you must register an account and confirm your email address via a verification code. You agree to:

• provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration;
• keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others;
• notify us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that are used for spam, abuse, or in violation of these Terms.

4. User-Submitted Content

You may upload your own texts for analysis. By submitting content, you confirm that:

• you have the right to use and submit this content;
• the content does not violate any third-party rights, applicable laws, or contain unlawful, harmful, or offensive material;
• you understand the text is processed by an AI service (DeepSeek) solely to generate a contextual translation and is not stored for any purpose beyond providing this result.

We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content that violates these Terms.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Translations, transcriptions, and grammatical explanations are generated automatically using AI (DeepSeek API) and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. StudyEase is a learning aid and should not be treated as a substitute for professional translation, certified language assessment, or expert linguistic advice.

6. Intellectual Property

All platform design, code, branding, and ready-made texts provided by StudyEase remain the property of StudyEase and its developer. You retain ownership of any original text you upload, but grant StudyEase a limited right to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the platform;
• create accounts using automated means (bots) or false information;
• upload malicious code or content that infringes third-party rights.

8. Availability and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

9. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service, and may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
